Summer Bridge Program Employment Opportunities
Contact Community Services is looking for Lead Enrichment Facilitators, Recess Facilitators & Program Aides for the Liverpool Central School District and Contact Community Services’ Summer Bridge Program! This program will be held at Liverpool Elementary and Liverpool Middle Schools for students who attend Chestnut Hill Elementary, Donlin Drive Elementary, Liverpool Elementary and Long Branch Elementary.
It runs July 9th-August 2nd, Mondays-Thursdays ONLY from 8 am-2:30 pm, NO FRIDAYS.

The Summer Bridge Program is designed to support children in the retention of their education over the summer. The program will provide Math, ELA and STEM academic assistance along with exciting & engaging "FUN"tivities to groups up to 30 elementary school youth.

Lead Enrichment Facilitators ($25/hr)

  • Monday – Thursday, 12:00 pm – 2:45 pm
  • Instruct creative activities independently (all supplies and materials will be provided if procedure of filling out supply list is accurate, complete and submitted on time).
  • Activity should be based on the facilitator’s skill or talent that complement students’ academic learning by allowing students to engage in more enjoyable and fun activities.
  • Enrichment Facilitators must provide a professional reference that can speak to the fact that they have actually taught or facilitated this enrichment with great skill in which they are looking to deliver.
  • Examples for grades 1-2 include interactive team games/sports, food/science lab, arts/movement.
  • Examples for grades 3-6 include science activities, arts & crafts, drumming, sports, dance, cooking, photography, cosmetology, robotics, STEM and more!
  • Lead Facilitators will be required to develop and implement their own lesson plans.

Recess Facilitators ($25/hr)

  • Monday – Thursday, 11:00 am – 12:00 pm (position can be combined with academic and/or enrichment positions)
  • Facilitate structured outside/inside games by allowing students to engage in more enjoyable and fun activities before/after their lunch break.
  • Instruct creative activities independently (all supplies and materials will be provided if procedure of filling out supply list is accurate, complete and submitted on time).
  • Recess Facilitators will be required to develop and implement their own lesson plans.

Academic and Enrichment Program Aides ($14/hr)

  • Monday – Thursday, 7:30 am – 2:45 pm
  • Assist with the facilitation of Math, ELA, STEM and Enrichment activities.
  • Assist with behavioral issues, paperwork, data system and other duties that are associated with program.
  • General set-up and clean-up of activities.
  • Providing supervision and monitoring of program participants in a safe environment.
  • Attend required meeting, trainings/workshops and special events.
  • Help provide safe boarding or disembarking on the school bus.

Candidates must be available for

  • Mandatory orientation
  • July 9 – August 2, 2018, Monday – Thursday
  • August 6 – 10 for inventory and clean-up (Program Aides –ONLY– various days and hours TBA)

Additional Requirements

  • Provide supervision at all times, including lunch duty.
  • Provide a safe environment by setting up and cleaning classroom daily.
  • All candidates must be comfortable working with diverse groups of students in grades 1-6 in LCSD.
  • Background checks and daily reliable transportation
