Contact announces two Program Coordinator positions (10 month) and one Youth Advocate position (12 months) for its expanding school-based programs serving students in the Syracuse City School District.
The Program Coordinator works with the district to implement the Success through Early Prevention (STEP) Program for 3rd through 6th graders in alternative classrooms using a strength-based behavioral approach. In addition to coordination and direct service, this work is accomplished through wrap-around service planning between parents, schools and community providers. Master’s degree preferred in social work or other counseling field, plus minimum of 5 years post-degree experience. Previous school-based experience preferred. NYS Driver’s License required and reliable transportation a must. Salary: DOE.
Under the direction of the STEP Program Coordinator, the Youth Advocate provides guidance and support to children and parents enrolled in the STEP program, and participates in wrap-around service planning between parents, schools and community providers.
